DAILY CONFESSION

DAILY CONFESSION

(SPOKEN BY BISHOP JAKES “CONSISTENCY” CD)

LORD IT’S ME AGAIN!

I DARE NOT EMBARK UPON THIS DAY WITHOUT YOU

I KNOW THAT YOU ARE THE MASTER OF THIS DAY, AND YOU ARE IN

ABSOLUTE TOTAL CONTROL.

AND SO LORD, AS I GET READY TO GO INTO THIS DAY

I WANT YOU TO RIDE IN THE CAR WITH ME, AND BE MY JOY, BE MY

STRENGTH, BE MY PEACE AND BE MY DEFENSE.

I WANT YOUR WISDOM IN MY MOUTH WHEN I SPEAK.

I WANT YOUR ANOINTING IN EVERY DECISION I MAKE.

I WANT YOUR ANOINTING TO COVER ME.

I’M GETTING READY TO GO TO WORK TODAY.

I WRESTLE WITH UNREASONABLE MEN, BUT BECAUSE YOU ARE WITH

ME, YOU ARE MORE THAN ENOUGH TO TAKE ME THROUGH.

COVER ME WITH YOUR BLOOD AND WITH YOUR SPIRIT.

I THANK YOU LORD THAT NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST ME SHALL

BE ABLE TO PROSPER.

I WILL MOVE AROUND WITCHES AND NEVER BE HEXED.

BECAUSE GREATER IS HE THAT’S IN ME THAN HE THAT IS IN THE WORLD.

 MY MIND SHALL BE LIBERAL

MY HANDS SHALL BE QUICK

YOU HAVE ANOINTED MY FINGERS TO WAR AND EVERYTHING THAT I

TOUCH SHALL BE BLESSED.  I’M BLESSED IN THE CITY

BLESSED IN THE FIELD, BLESSED IN MY COMING IN, MY GOING OUT

MY UP RISING, MY DOWN SETTING

BECAUSE YOU ARE MY SHEPHERD, I SHALL NOT WANT. YOU WILL MAKE ME TO LIE DOWN IN GREEN PASTURES AND LEAD ME BESIDE THE STILL WATERS, AND WHEREVER YOU LEAD ME IS GOING TO WORK BECAUSE YOU HAVE ANOINTED MY HEAD WITH OIL, MY CUP

RUNNETH OVER.  GOODNESS AND MERCY SHALL FOLLOW ME ALL THE DAYS OF MY LIFE, AND I WILL DWELL IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD

FOREVER.  BECAUSE I WAS CREATED TO PREVAIL!

DESIGNED TO OVERCOME!

CREATED TO BE A WINNER!

AND I THANK YOU LORD, AS I STEP OUT INTO THIS DAY,

I STEP OUT DRESSED UP WITH THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD

BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

FEET SHOD WITH THE PREPARATION OF PEACE

SWARD OF THE SPIRIT,

SHIELD OF FAITH

I’M READY!

GOOD MORNING!

The Eagle

The Eagle

The eagle is a sacred messenger, carrying our prayers to the Creator and returning with gifts and visions for the people. Eagle feathers aid medicine people in calling on this connection when they need to contact spirit for healing.

Eagles are majestic birds with a powerful presence.  Although they can be social birds they do require isolation from human encroachment to breed in the wild.  If a human strays to close or touches their nest, they are likely to abandon it. Both male and female incubate the eggs and share in the duties of raising its young.

The eagle is incredibly patient. Often seen perched in a tree maintaining the same position for hours at a time,  eagle teaches those with this totem how to master the art of patience in every area of their life.   Within the energy of patience "all things are possible."

Eagles are good at feeding themselves from the land and still soar to great heights in the sky. They teach us how to move through life without becoming attached to anything.   They show us how to accept what comes our way and see everything as a gift from great spirit.  They have excellent hearing and can hunt as much by ear as by sight. To those to whom eagle comes, the ability to hear spiritually and psychically will awaken

Eagles have sharp beaks and strong jaws.  They remind us to pay attention to our speech and how it affects others.  Our words as well as the tone of our voice should be examined.  Eagle asks us to maintain a prayerful connection with Spirit, to keep our minds focused on what is important in life.  Maintaining this attitude removes judgment from our consciousness.  Without judgment we speak with encouragement and kindness towards others. Lessons associated with judgment are part of this medicine.

Eagles have excellent vision.  Perched high in a tree they appear to analyze and observe everything.  If Eagle has blessed you with its presence in some way, you are being given potent gifts of clarity and vision to use for the good of all people helping to bring forth the light out of the darkness. Eagle also serves as a reminder to those with this totem to communicate with Great Spirit daily so the gifts Eagle offers you can be utilized fully.

My Break Up Letter with Fear

Dear Fear,

It is now 2010, and I say to you- Enough! I see what you've been allowed to do, and you have taken enough from me.

We've had a long relationship, you and I. I've known you as long as I can remember, although I don't believe I've known your name, or your true power, until recently.

I guess since, I wasn't having daily panic attacks, as I once did years ago, I thought I had you conquered. "Fear," I'd say to people, "I am not afraid."

It seemed you stepped up your game. You went into disguise and I could no longer feel you, or see you. But, now, I see you were there this whole time.

You tell me I am not loved. You tell me I am not worthy. You tell me I am not needed. You tell me people betray, and use. You tell me not to trust, and I believe you, for life has shown me you might be right. And because I believe you, life keeps showing me.

I ask, what do you want from me? Why do you want me? Are you only here to teach, are are you here to hurt, and destroy?

To you, I say you've hurt me enough. You have destroyed enough. Now, I want to learn from you, for now I respect you. I see your power. I see what you can do. I use to think only addiction could destroy a home, but what else is behind addiction, but you?

As I sit here to say, good-bye to you, I wonder what I will do without you. I can't say that I know, for even right now, I hear you saying, "You can't leave. There's nothing else left for you. You don't know what to do. Or who you are. You don't know which voice is true- since you let me inside of you."

And fear, you're right. I don't. I capsized into you. I've become your master, and you sink the ship. But you are not going to kill me. I see that you've tried. So again, I say enough.

I see that even having a conversation with you, is room enough for you to enter. I see your persistence. Your strength. You want to dominate me. Or perhaps it is me who wants you to dominate me. Every which way I turn to look at the sinking of the ship, I see you in all your disguises, and faces.

You truly have dominated me. I will give you that. To do so, you must really know that I am strong. That I am going places. Well, I am still going, and you aren't going to stop me. I've already allowed you to stop me from being. To stop me from living. To stop me from loving. You've even obscured my path to my Essence, my Truth. You've even obscured my sight so I could not see who loves me, let alone feel their love. You've told me I do not love. That I am not lovable. You've done enough. You have simply done enough.

Now, will you go? I don't know, but what I do know is you've been found. Will you leave for awhile, and return even more heavily disguised, like the step mother who kept upping her plan to entrap the purity and essence of Snow White?

I expect you to return, for I know my time here is not complete. But, for now you must go, and for the next round you better make it good, because I am about to make it great.

Its not what you say but how you write it

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: "I am blind, please help." There were only a few coins in the hat.

A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words. Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, "Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?"

The man said, "I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way." I wrote: "Today is a beautiful day but I cannot see it." Both signs told people that the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people that they were so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?

Moral of the Story: Be thankful for what you have. Be creative. Be innovative.. Think differently and positively. When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have 1000 reasons to smile Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear. Keep the faith and drop the fear.Just think God is Near! God Bless you and your family. From a friend to a friend.
The most beautiful thing is to see a person smiling; And even more beautiful is, knowing that you are the reason behind it!!!

"I'm never alone, Allah is always there with me " Mohamed Warfa R.I.P

This was a co-worker of mine that I did not have the chance to get to know on this Human Level as well as I would have liked.  We would say high when passing but never anything deeper than that.

When searching I found this on a Face Book page that may or may not be Mohamed's.  But it is very fitting to this situation "I'm never alone, Allah is always there with me :), see to me it does not matter the faith you follow.  What does matter is that you have some Faith.

I can't help but to think about how most people come to the USA, they come here for a change.  Jim Rohn said its the ladder that America offers, like no other country.  He was talking about the ladder to the top of whatever you want.  Only in America can you start from the bottom and still make it to the top. Capitalism is what makes America so attractive yet also makes us a target by other country's that don't like our system.

The real reason for writing this post is because Imagine what it would be like to leave your home country after seeing all the fighting and killing.  Only to come to America to start fresh to see that we have issues too.

Mohamed Has 4 kids the youngest being less than 6 months old.  My heart goes out to him because he did what most men do is risk everything to provide what the family needs.  What does that family need you ask?  Great questions.  The family needs a place were the kids don't have to worry about being raped, molested, shot while playing with friends and world with nourishing food with Friends and Family that care.

Somali's and African American's have had great tension for as long as I can remember seeing Somali's here in Minnesota.  Some say because they don't think of African Americans as one of them.  Blacks I would guess are just looking to have dominion over someone because I don't really understand what the issue is.  I have had not problems with the Somali's but that could just be me.  This was Somali on Somali crime sad truth I must say, I was glad it was not an African American because that would have started a War between Somali's and Blacks and we don't need that as we are trying to live work and play together.

What is most interesting is the Somali's are joining gangs and dealing drugs and all the same stuff that an oppressed society does to survive.  This does not make it right but I hope it help spread the truth.  The truth that we need some jobs in this country, we can't keep supporting our communities with these drugs and by any means necessary mentality or Hook or Crook.  I understand you have to do what you have to do but lets be real you can't make enough money on the corner to do any real positive change in the world.

I want to sum this post up with I understand that when we are hurt we think and eye for and eye is the best option.  I would like to ask you what faith do you follow?  I am not asking you to be soft or a punk but if you don't see that your eye for and eye mentality leave us both blind to the faith we follow.  I don't know of any faith that suggest we play GOD and decide who must live and die or decide who is good or bad.

Our Greatest Fear

Our Greatest Fear

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light , not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of god. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We were born to make and manifest the glory of god that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own  light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

Up Time America by Kimberly Alyn

1. Tell them what your going to do
2. Do what you told them
3. Show them what you told them and what you did.
DO IT NOW
If you see injustice, STAND UP
If something needs to be said, SPEAK UP
If you make an appointment, SHOW UP
If you make a mistake, FESS UP
If you’re overstepping, BACK UP
If you get behind, CATCH UP
If they knock you down, GET UP
If you’re out of line, STRAIGHTEN UP
When your boss instructs, KEEP UP
When your elders speak, LISTEN UP
When your teachers teach, SIT UP
When your preachers preach, WAKE UP
When your country calls, MAN UP
Ladies too... WOMAN UP
When the fight is over, MAKE UP
If you’re being hard, EASE UP
If your heart is closed, OPEN UP
If you want to buy something, SAVE UP--
It’s not an entitlement, so SHUT UP!
If you make a mess, CLEAN IT UP
If you drop trash, PICK IT UP
If a car is waiting for you to
walk across the street, SPEED IT UP
If you’re cold busted, GIVE IT UP
If people fall down, HELP THEM UP--
Not the government, YOU STEP UP
If idiots start fighting, BREAK IT UP
If the music is wholesome, TURN IT UP
If the message is poisonous, THROW IT UP
If your words are vulgar, CLAM IT UP
If your words encourage, KEEP IT UP
If your pants are baggy, PULL THEM UP
If the belt’s too loose, CINCH IT UP
If your fly is down, ZIP IT UP
If you’re dressed half naked, COVER IT UP
If you can’t afford stuff, PASS IT UP--
No “bailouts” folks, PONY UP
If you made a promise, you BACK IT UP
And you can take your whining and PACK IT UP
It’s called personal responsibility, so TAKE IT UP
This country was founded on it, you can LOOK IT UP
It’s the American way people, so TURN IT UP
Because when life gets boring, you SHAKE IT UP
When life is good, you SOAK IT UP
When life’s unfair, you SUCK IT UP
When life is funny, you can YUCK IT UP
When life is sad, just LOOK STRAIGHT UP
And life’s too short people, so LIVE IT U
